The Pegas #12 Scroll Band Saw Blade (which measures around 3/32″ wide) is the work horse of the blades available for the Pegas Scroll Band Saw. They combine a fast but smooth cut in woods up to 5″ thick with the ability to turn tight corners (greater than 90-degrees). The size makes them resist breaking, even if the blades come out of the bearings, and they shed heat quickly to keep from overheating or scorching the wood. The Pegas Scroll Band Saw ships with one of these blades installed, as well as the universal bearing that accommodates these blades and the #9 blades.
